In this lesson, we'll show you how to create a homepage that closely resembles Facebook with Tailwind CSS. To learn more about the Tailwind workflow and underpinnings, I highly recommend taking a look at the Tailwind CSS course by clicking here. Work on the project should start now:
The Facebook home page link needs to be included right immediately. The text for your document can then be gathered, along with the image files required for the logo and favicon. The Facebook homepage sample below, for instance, can serve as inspiration:
As was already discussed, when building an application with Tailwind CSS, it is typically best to start with the mobile-first perspective. To better serve its users, the Facebook company uses a distinct approach.
The document's "left" and "right" divisions, respectively, include and a submission form. You could, for instance, create a parent container as shown below and then add two more children div containers for the "left" and "right" portions. The left component now includes a graphic of Facebook's emblem and some explanatory text. As a result, as can be seen in the example below, you can use your preferred description text and the saved SVG icon. The right side of the page has a submission box with two input tags, a button, span text, a page break with a line, and a further primary button. Let's begin by placing the components in the "appropriate" container as shown.
